ORIGINAL Watercolor and Ink on wrinkled non-archival paper. Art is 6 x 8", matted to 7.5 x 9.5", framed in black wood to 10.5 x 12.5" behind glass. Ready to hang. (NOTE: Original watercolor art should not be hung in a bathroom where steam/moisture accumulates)
I've held on to this piece for a while for its nostalgia of innocence, and its feel-good-colorful rebellion against the typical gloomy feel of a rainy day. There's something about rain that makes me happy.
This piece was painted several years ago as an experiment in Pepperdine's art studio in Malibu CA alongside my good friend/co-writer/pop recording artist JP Lam. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JP_(musician)] who is now part of the Aloha Rock band called "The Dukes Of Surf" [http://thedukesofsurf.com]
I mention JP because his music puts me in this same feel-good mood. Maybe a glimpse at this watercolor, and a listen to a Dukes song will lift your spirits too!
