Greeting Cards or Baseball Cards?

Long time no blog. Oh well, sometimes the words flow like buttah, and sometimes all the creativity is oozing out in other directions. Well, it's been flowing in other directions lately. Anyway, I'm back, and not really flowing, but I have a great question for all of you, men and ladies.

My friend Shaun made this comment to me on myspace today. I thought it was a unique perspective, and actually kind of funny too! He was commenting about greeting cards after I had mentioned my new greeting card line. Here's what he said:

"I think that women just buy them
for themselves sometimes,
and don't even send them to people.
It's like collecting Pokemon for them,
or baseball cards."

Is that true? I know every now and then I end up with a funny card and don't know who to send it to, so it sits on my dresser or desk for a year or two before I throw it away.

But do women actually buy and save greeting cards? I gotta know. 'Fess up ladies! (Husbands, feel free to tattle on your wives!)

Is this yet another hilarious difference between us Martians and you Venusites?

Let's hear it. I think Shaun may be right on this one!
